Backed by the Swiss government, the 20 Franc Helvetia/Vreneli, which has been nicknamed Swiss Miss, is an exceptional bullion coin. The obverse depicts a timeless profile of Vreneli, the revered Swiss Miss, with the Swiss Alps in the background. Over her head is the word “HELVETIA,” a reference to a Celtic tribe that once inhabited Switzerland. Swiss 20 Francs were minted at the Swiss National Mint in Bern from 1897 to 1936, in 1947, and in 1949.
