The Austrian 100 Corona was originally minted in Austria and Hungary from 1908 to 1914. The 1915 restrikes of the Austrian 100 Corona are the most common. Starting in 1916, new restrikes were made to honor the reign of Franz Josef I, emperor of Austria from 1848 to 1916. Each coin weighs slightly less than 1 ounce, a nonstandard size in today’s market, which is dominated by 1-ounce bullion coins.
